The UFC women’s division started back in 2012 when president Dana White opened another path for girls who fight.
One of the first to join the ranks formerly dominated by men was Ronda “Rowdy” Rousey who has since established herself as a skilled fighter and major star in the MMA world.
Women can hit, this is a known fact, over the last few years they are more than proving it to the global audience. Chicks with kicks are bringing in the crowds and muscling through horrendous battles in the ring, coming out beaten and bruised but always fierce. We at loaded appreciate their beauty as much as their brawn. Here’s our ode to some badass females of the UFC.
Ronda “Rowdy” Rousey
Ferocious feminist, arm breaker, judo expert and proprietor of the term “do nothing bitch,” Ronda is the total package.
Now retired, this ferocious bantamweight champion and former wrestler dominated the sport for years and was a champion many times over. We’ll miss her in the cage but she’s still a star in our eyes. Plus, gorgeous.
Not necessarily UFC but she should have been. A legend and path carver, Carano is a Muay Thai skilled Strikeforce champion, turned actress. You might recognise her from films such as Fast and The Furious 6, Haywire and Deadpool. Henry Cavill/Superman was even lucky enough to bag her for a few years as well.
Nicknamed “the Karate hottie” this lady is ranked number six in the world in women’s MMA. Michelle Waterson signed to the UFC last year and is quick in the cage, thanks to her karate background.
This former dancer turned mixed martial artist made her professional debut at 18 years old. Now the 22-year old is a UFC champ and even competed in Dancing with the Stars (American Strictly Come Dancing) this year, coming in second. A woman of many talents.
Don’t mess with’em.
