THE ORIGINAL Sony PlayStation was the console that changed it all.
Released way back in December 1994, it was the first console to ship over 100 million units worldwide and helped put Sony on the map as a video games company to watch.
Much of that success was down to the impressive array of PlayStation games on offer with everything from Tomb Raider to Crash Bandicoot featuring on the console.
But which rank as the best Sony PlayStation games of all-time? Let’s find out.
11. Grand Theft Auto
The original and strictly for gamers aged 18 and over. Steal cars, carry out hits and drive recklessly. It’s naughty but it’s also a lot of fun.
10. Spyro The Dragon
A brilliant, brightly coloured 3D platformer, as PlayStation games go, it’s a lot of fun, even if it does live in the shadow of Crash Bandicoot.
9. Tomb Raider 2
Lara Croft came into her element in the second Tomb Raider outing, which was bigger, brasher and a lot more fun than the first outing.
8. Final Fantasy 7
The Final Fantasy franchise rarely puts a foot wrong but the seventh outing stands up as arguably the best in the immerse RPG series. Seek it out.
7. Gran Turismo 2
