Roy Keane has left football fans across the globe stunned after revealing he does in fact have a sense of humour.
The one-time Manchester United hard man showed another side to his character in a clip that has been doing the rounds on social media.
In the video, Keane pulls off the perfect prank on Republic of Ireland goalkeeping coach Seamus McDonagh, during the national side’s most recent training session.
Showing the kind of predatory instincts that made him the stuff of Premier League legend, Keane covertly rolled a ball into the path of McDonagh just as he was about to strike another stationary ball.
The result was high calamity with the confusion causing McDonagh to lose his bearings and essentially fall arse over tit.
It was an incident that sparked widespread LOLs throughout the Ireland coaching staff with Martin O’Neill even getting involved.
That laugh is likely to be the first and only time we will see Keane smiling in France over the coming days though.
Ireland face Belgium on Saturday and after being pegged back in a 1-1 draw with Sweden earlier this week, O’Neill’s side will be keen to pick up all three points.
Belgium are also in need of a win following their 2-0 defeat to Italy on Monday.
Come full time, Keane could be smiling again. Then again, he might not be.
