Why England winning Euro 2016 could prompt spike in fans watching porn

No one need panic just yet though, because Roy has a plan…

England fans would love it. But maybe not in the most appropriate way.

An England triumph at Euro 2016 would most likely spark a surge in the number of football Three Lions fans using online porn streaming services.

While that sounds a little unlikely – England winning the tournament, not the surge in demand for skin flicks – a US study suggests that could well be the case some early July.

Figures produced by Pornhub have shown that, in the immediate aftermath of several major sporting events in the US, there has been a major increase in the number of people accessing their services.

The statistics certainly back this assertion up too.

In the immediate aftermath of Cleveland’s Game 7 victory over Golden State, for example, Pornhub activity rose 20 per cent in the time just after the game finished.

Hard to believe.
Hard to believe. But a few goals by this man could have you running for the Kleenex.

There was a similar 23 per cent rise in Pornhub activity after New England triumphed in the 2015 Super Bowl with Denver’s 2016 victory also prompting an upsurge.

With these figures in mind, it is increasingly difficult to argue against the idea that an England win in France could prompt a surge in self-love after the trophy has been lifted.

Three Lions fans may not even wait for victory in the final to indulge in such activities either.

A win in the second round could prompt similar scenes while progress past the quarter-finals – something England have failed to do in 20 years – and Pornhub could find themselves inundated with even more fans looking for fun.

Just don’t go there expecting to find Roy Hodgson related porn. Trust us, it’s not there.
