WALTER WHITE and Jesse Pinkham are reuniting for one final chapter of Breaking Bad after it was confirmed that Bryan Cranston and Aaron Paul will be starring in the upcoming spin-off movie.
It was revealed back in November that a spin-off movie was in the works, with reports suggesting the movie would focus on Paul’s character Jesse.
That didn’t stop fans from speculating on whether Cranston’s character would be making a comeback despite what happened in the show’s finale.
Now Revenge of the Fans is reporting to have obtained information on who will appear in the film – and there’s good news for Breaking Bad fans.
According to their sources both characters are set to return alongside several characters old and new.
Krysten Ritter, Jonathan Banks, Jesse Plemons, Charles Baker, Matt Jones and Robert Forster are all set to make a return in some capacity.
Not only will the story [to] find a way bring back Ritter’s Jane – with whom Jesse had a tragic love affair way back during the show’s first season – but series star Cranston is set to play some sort of role in the new film as well,” the website said.
Cranston has already expressed his desire to return.
“There appears to be a movie version of Breaking Bad, but I have honestly not even read the script,” Cranston told The Dan Patrick Show a few months back.
“There is a question [of] whether we’d even see Walter White in the movie. I would absolutely do it [play Walter again] – it’s Vince Gilligan and he’s a genius.”
Cranston is particularly keen to see Paul’s character Jesse gain some form of closure after the events of the series.
“It’s a great story and there’s a lot of people who felt that they wanted to see some kind of completion to some of these storylines that were left open,” he said.
“This idea, from what I’m told, gets into those – at least a couple of the characters who were not completed as far as their journey.”
