Is Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba’s bromance the greatest love story Old Trafford has ever seen?
Pogba has come in for criticism for his early performances at Manchester United, and while he’s struggling to justify his enormous transfer fee so far, he’ll always have his best buddy to defend him.
The pair have really hit it off since joining the club this Summer, and now Zlatan has hit out at Pogba’s haters in a passionate interview.
After Jamie Carragher savaged the midfielder’s performance in the Manchester Derby, Zlatan defended his new best buddy and said he’ll prove his “jealous” critics wrong.
Talking to SFR Sport, the Swedish striker said: “I did not know Paul before and now I know him personally, he is a boy who works hard, he wants to progress and has a good attitude.
“The jealous people talking about him will swallow every word they said because he will only get better.”
“But he is still young and all the jealous people talking about him will swallow every word they said about him because he will only get better.”
He added: “You have to be realistic, people are putting a lot of pressure on Paul. His transfer created a huge amount of buzz.”
Pogba’s struggled after becoming the most expensive player in the world at £89m – but Zlatan’s doing everything he can he help him settle.
It’s the latest episode in the bromance between the pair, who hung out in LA over the summer and looked thick as thieves in a video Pogba posted on Twitter recently.
