There’s nothing quite like cracking open a cold beer straight out the fridge, but sometimes, a standard 330ml bottle just isn’t enough.
If you’re having a relaxing drink at home, or enjoying a boozy party, normal bottles don’t always do the job, and that’s where Waitrose comes in…
The supermarket has spotted a gap in the market for massive beers, and have launched a huge new product which is sure to appeal to booze lovers across Britain.
A 2-litle IPA Best of British Beer Magnum has gone on sale in the store for the pricey sum of £22.
That might seem a little steep, but it’s worth bearing in mind that the bottle is six times the size of an average beer bottle, and normal beer prices are going up as is it.
‘But wouldn’t it go flat really quickly?’ we hear you ask… Well, they’ve thought of that too – the bottle is fitted with a flip-up lid, designed to keep the contents fresher for longer [via the Daily Mail].
A Waitrose spokeswoman said: “The light, hoppy golden ale gives an aromatic, piney aroma with a light, crisp, floral finish, and is made using 80 per cent recycled glass, so is certainly not about style over substance.”
Waitrose are going supersize at the moment, after launching 1.5 litre bottles of Champagne, Prosecco and Rosé recently too.
It might seem a bit much for a quiet drink at home, but the beer magnum is the best booze-related invention of 2017 so far. Beer lovers, you know what to do…
