Last year’s X Factor winner, Louisa Johnson, served up a reminder that, while she is gone from the reality singing series, she is most definitely not forgotten with a selfie someone evidently seemed to think was too sexy for social media.
The 18-year-old was crowned winner of the show back in December of last year, beating off stiff competition from Reggie ‘n’ Bollie and Che Chesterman to claim victory.
She didn’t have it all her own way though with her winner’s single, a cover of Bob Dylan’s Forever Young, only reaching number nine in the UK Singles chart.
But with a new album on the way this December, Johnson was evidently in the mood to remind everyone she is still very much around.
The result was an Instagram selfie featuring Johnson in a rather striking blue lingerie ensemble.
It didn’t take long for the image to cause a stir online, with the singer moving swiftly to delete the offending image, but not before a multitude of fans had captured the moment themselves.
Did the order to delete come down on high from Simon Cowell himself? Perhaps. With a new single and album forthcoming, the X Factor chief may have been keen to avoid negative headlines.
Then again, the entire process of posting and then deleting the saucy image may have been part of some far more sophisticated plan to whip up a media storm.
If that is the case, then it’s mission accomplished for Johnson and SyCo
