WWE’s mission to bring women’s wrestling into the 21st century is continuing apace with the announcement of what could well be the most exciting and downright dangerous match in the history of female grappling.
Not content with the introduction of an all-new, all-female 32-competitor tournament, complete with female referees and commentators, WWE is going one step further with plans for a Women’s Money in the Bank ladder match.
The setup is simple enough: ladders are placed around the ring, while a briefcase dangles high above it. Whoever can climb to the top and retrieve the case will earn themselves a shot at the Women’s Championship at a time of their choosing.
Charlotte Flair is set to compete in the ground-breaking four-way match-up, which will also feature Becky Lynch, Natalya, Tamina and Carmella which will be broadcast in 19 June.

Lynch took to Twitter to express her excitement at being involved in the match-up, while Tamina told Talking Smack she was “happy” to be part of it.
“It’s a point in our time where we deserve to have this,” she added.
“Now that it’s here I know I’m damn well not afraid, I’m ready.”
In the meantime, the 32-woman tournament, the Mae Young Classic, is set to arrive on July 14 and promises to be a spectacle to remember.
