WWE Money In The Bank: Dean Ambrose comes out on top on thrilling night

The usually high octane event didn't disappoint.

Dean Ambrose shocked the WWE Universe on Sunday night by cashing in his Money in the Bank contract to defeat Seth Rollins and win the WWE Championship.

Rollins, who had just defeated Roman Reigns to be crowned champion, was left stunned as Ambrose ambushed him then hit him with his Dirty Deeds finisher.

The win for Ambrose means every one of the once famous stable, The Shield, have now held the WWE Championship. Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins are the other members of the trio.

Elsewhere, AJ Styles picked up a victory over John Cena with a little help from his friends, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson.

Cena, in his first match back after a seven-month lay-off, didn’t have enough to defeat the power of Styles. But he’ll have questions for Styles after the superstar signed a contract stating that Gallows and Anderson wouldn’t interfere.

WWE Tag Team champions The New Day retained their titles after defeating Enzo Amore & Big Cass, Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson and the Vaudevillians. The New Day had too much for their opponents in this competitive Fatal Four Way match.
