There’s nothing wrong with being a vegan.
It’s a personal choice and one that people are totally entitled to. Likewise, anyone who chooses to eat meat every waking hour of the day should be given free rein to. It’s your life and you should be allowed to live it as you please.
What annoys most carnivores out there, however, is when our dear Vegan friends insist on extolling the virtues of their oh-so-natural diet and reminding us how entirely wrongheaded our own choices are.
Essentially it’s the idea that these folk insist on throwing their veganism in our faces. It’s not like meat-eaters are constantly telling vegans what their diet lacks (which is plenty actually).
Still, some people insist on throwing it in our faces. Or, in the case of Kate Bullen, her own face. Bullen went viral this week after sharing a picture on her social media account showing off her latest tattoo: an inking of the word “vegan” just above her right eyebrow.
She did it so she wouldn’t need to tell everyone she’s vegan every five minutes. She’s probably having to repeat that so often because no one cared to begin with.
Not only is the tattoo monumentally crap looking but, as it turns out, Bullen has made herself something of a laughing stock with folk on Twitter.

Why the fuck would you get the word vegan tattooed in big lettering on your face!???♀️??

They have been pretty merciless in their mockery of the tattoo with any number of harsh comments and criticisms.
Despite the comments, Bullen is standing by the inking, writing the following empassioned defence:
“I’ve received many negative comments on my tattoo which I expected as I’m used to facing criticism for being vegan on a daily basis, I don’t think people’s issue with it is because it’s on my face, people often get upset when they see the word ‘vegan’ and I believe this is because they feel very defensive as it encourages them to think about the consequences of their actions i.e. their purchasing habits.
“I’m really happy with my tattoo, I’m incredibly passionate about veganism and know I’ll be vegan for the rest of my life.”
Of course, she’s not the first person to show-off a terrible tattoo – here are 21 equally awful tattoo designs for you to enjoy.
