Playboy helped launch the careers of two huge stars in the 90s. One was Pamela Anderson, and the other was Jenny McCarthy.
McCarthy became one of the most famous faces of the decade after appearing nude in the hugely popular magazine – but where is the blonde bombshell now?
The 44-year-old first appeared in Playboy in 1993 and was named Playmate of the Year in 1994 after becoming a favourite of Hugh Hefner.
She decided to move into TV as a presenter on Playboy TV show Hot Rocks, before going on to host MTV’s popular dating game Singled Out. She also starred in her own sketch show The Jenny McCarthy Show in 1997.
Jenny also made a name for herself in movies. She appeared in Scream 3 in 2000, and spoofed it a few years later in 2003 with Pamela Anderson in Scary Movie 3.
In 2005, McCarthy produced, wrote and starred in the critically-panned movie Dirty Love. She earned Razzie awards for Worst Actress, Worst Screenplay, and Worst Picture for the movie.
She’s had a few highly publicised relationships. Jenny married John Asher in 1999, before splitting in 2005. She enjoyed a five-year relationship with Jim Carrey between 2005-2010, before she wed Band of Brothers star Donnie Wahlberg in 2014.
Despite her movie and TV appearances, it’s her off-screen antics that have made the headlines in recent years.
In 2008, she made a controversial appeared on a Larry King Live special to argue that vaccines can trigger autism.
However, she clarified her position in a 2014 interview with The Daily Beast, saying: “I am not anti-vaccine.”
She was announced as a co-host on ABC’s The View in 2013, which was deemed controversial by some due to her perceived stance on vaccines.
The model now presents a show on Sirius XM Radio, but even that isn’t without controversy.
Jenny clashed with American Pie star Tara Reid during an interview earlier this year, when she asked her about her plastic surgery and appearance on reality show Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars.
