For people of a certain age, the name Elisha Cuthbert will mean a hell of a lot.

As Kim, the party-loving daughter of Kiefer Sutherland’s Jack Bauer on 24, Cuthbert caught the eye of fans the world-over becoming the TV pin-up of the early 2000s in the proecces.

It wasn’t just on the small screen that Cuthbert thrilled either, with roles in Love Actually, Old School and The Girl Next Door cementing her status as one of the sexiest young stars on the planet.

As the decade went on, Cuthbert diversified, featuring in horror movies like House of Wax and Captivity, while continuing to appear in the later series of 24.

By 2011, she was back in the spotlight again, starring in the cult comedy hit Happy Endings, which was cancelled after just two seasons.

Then things went quiet for a couple of years with Cuthbert evidently taking time off to focus on herself. In 2013, she married NHL star Dion Phaneuf, returning a year later in the short-lived sitcom One Big Happy.

But 2017 could see the 34-year-old return to the spotlight.

For starters, she’s currently starring in the Ashton Kutcher-led sitcom The Ranch which, has been renewed for a second series.

Then there’s the small matter of the upcoming sequel to Goon, entitled Goon: Last of the Enforcers, which sees Cuthbert joining a cast already containing heavyweights like Seann William Scott and Liev Schreiber for a follow-up to the underrated original.

Once ranked among the sexiest women in the world by Maxim and FHM, Cuthbert has lost none of her killer looks as her Instagram account attests.

And few would rule out a return to 24 either, however far fetched that would be.
