A treasured piece of 90s movie motoring memorabilia is going up for sale with the original AMC Pacer from Wayne’s World rolling onto the auction block.
Plenty of sketches from NBC’s iconic comedy sketch show, Saturday Night Live, have found themselves the subject of their very own big screen adventure but few have ever enjoyed the success of Wayne’s World.
The movie that helped launch the careers of Mike Myers and Dana Carvey as Wayne and Garth, respectively, the film’s status as a comedy classic was secured the minute the guys went for a ride in Pacer while listening to Queen’s Bohemian Rhapsody.
Head banging hilarity ensued, with the scene becoming the stuff of legend, while also helping the Queen track re-enter the top 40 on both sides of the Atlantic.
Now, 24 years on from the film’s release, that very same car is going up for sale, complete with sky blue paint job and flaming wheels.

Due to be auction off at a Las Vegas auctioneers Barrett Jackson over a two-day sale from October 13 to 15, the car has all the original interior correct and present, though there is no word on whether the tape deck remains intact.
The car’s stereo system has undergone an overhaul though, meaning fans can enjoy an enhanced rendition of Bohemian Rhapsody at their leisure – because, let’s be honest, that is the first thing any sane bidder will be doing.

Likely to attract plenty of interested parties, it could be “party on” for one lucky buyer.
In the words of Wayne, “a sphincter says what?” Exactly.
