Gordon Ramsay has been continuing his ascent to mega stardom in the US over recent years, but he suffered a set-back on his show makeover series Hotel Hell recently.
Incase you haven’t seen the show, the Scottish chef goes from dodgy hotel to dodgy hotel, transforming their fortunes and changing lives for the better everywhere he goes.
Or at least that’s the idea…
Things got very awkward, very quickly on the show recently, however, after a hotel owner reacted badly to Ramsay’s changes.
Gordon was in New Mexico to help Hotel Meson de Mesilla owner Cali turn her failing business around, but she didn’t like the transformation on bit.
Watch the clip below:
“I’ve never been happier with the improvements. It’s exactly what the guests need. If I was Cali I’d be over the moon,” Ramsey said, unveiling badly-needed changes to the pool and kitchen areas.
“This make over is the biggest I’ve done in any of the hotels I’ve visited. There’s over $150,000 (£120,000) worth of upgrades,” he added.
However, Cali didn’t see it the same way, and took issue with the changes.
She complains about – of all things – the fact that she just bought a load of hamburger buns that are no longer needed.
“This is a lot of work. There are so many things I’ve got to do now. I’m going to have to raise prices,” Cali added.
Gordon is pretty pissed off as you might expect, and threatens to undo all the changes he’s made.
There’s just no pleasing some people…
