Watch: Beyonce joins Coldplay for new single Hymn For The Weekend

The video for Coldplay's new single has just landed.

Beyonce transformed into a Bollywood star for her appearance in the video of Coldplay’s new single Hymn For The Weekend.

The track, which is the second from Coldplay’s A Head Full Of Dreams, has vocals from Beyonce throughout.

And she embraced the theme by flying to Mumbai with Chris Martin and the band to film the stunning new video which was directed by Ben Moir. The video also features a cameo from Bollywood superstar Sonar Kapoor.

The single has landed just in time for Coldplay’s upcoming appearance at the halftime show at the Super Bowl, during which Beyonce will also join them onstage for a performance of the song.

Beyonce does her own thing during the video, and at no stage appears onscreen at the same time as the Coldplay band members.

And with current speculation that she may in fact be pregnant, eagle-eyed viewers will notice that she is filmed from the chest up for most of the shots.

Meanwhile, it’s set to be a busy couple of months for the Coldplay lads. Earlier this month, they were nominated for Best British Album and Best British Group at the upcoming Brits. They have also been confirmed as the recipients of the Godlike Genius Awards at the 2016 NME Awards.

Later this year, the band will head off on tour in support of A Head Full Of Dreams, having announced a run of stadium shows in Latin America and Europe which starts at Buenos Aires’ La Plata Stadium on March 31.

The band are also widely-tipped to headline Glastonbury, with Adele and Muse believed to be the other headliners. An official announcement of the headliners usually happens at the end of March or beginning of April.

The tour includes four nights at Wembley Stadium.

Coldplay’s tour dates are:

Manchester Etihad Stadium (June 4-5)
Glasgow Hampden Park (7)
London Wembley Stadium (15-16, 18-19)
