Tom Hardy has revealed he’s adding to his already sizeable tattoo collection after losing a bet with Leonardo Di Caprio.
The actor is getting more ink after his Revenant co-star bet him he’d be nominated for Best Supporting Actor at the Oscars earlier this year.
Hardy was nominated for his role as fur-trapper John Fitzgerald in Alejandro González Iñárritu’s award-winning movie, and although he eventually lost out to Mark Rylance, he’s staying true to his word and getting a tattoo designed by Leo.
Speaking to Esquire about the tattoo, Hardy said: “I haven’t got it yet, because it sucks.”
When asked what the ink would look like, Hardy said: [DiCaprio] wrote, in this really sh**ty handwriting ‘Leo knows everything.’”
“I was like, ‘OK, I’ll get it done, but you have to write it properly.’”
Talking about his nomination, Hardy said: “I don’t think I ever expected to be welcomed to one of those events.
“I always felt like a bit of a naughty boy, and I always thought part of me would be like, ‘Nah’. And then actually I was like, ‘Oh yeah! I’ll have a sniff of that.’”
Hardy has transformed himself into an Oscars contender in recent years, and we don’t think he’ll be making bets with Leo again any time soon.
