If after the theory of Jar Jar Binks being a Sith Lord you thought nothing more insane could come our way, you were wrong. Dead wrong.
Did you ever consider that E.T., that beloved alien from your childhood who wanted nothing but to go back home, could actually belong to one of the darkest orders in the galaxy?
This is quite a leap of faith, but at least it’s supported by some scenes from the Star Wars prequels. In Episode I: The Phantom Menace, there is a scene in which Amidala addresses the Senate, and one of the species that can be seen is that of E.T, the friendly alien from Steven Spielberg’s 1982 film, which proves (according to some fans) that they are part of the Galactic Empire.
Further proof can be found in the fact that in E.T., the alien sees a child dressed up as Yoda and instantly says “home.” Coincidence? Maybe, maybe not.
And to give even more credit to this insane theory, in the prequel movies, Darth Sidius tells Anakin that the Dark Side of the Force is the only one that can heal wounds and cheat death, and we all remember E.T. can cure anything with his gigantic glowing finger. Make your own conclusions…
