The Rock and Vin Diesel embroiled in Fast & Furious feud

Any on-screen fights between the pair may be more realistic than first thought.

The target of Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson’s rant about a “candy-ass” Fast 8 co-star who was too “chicken s***” to confront him has been revealed as none other than Vin Diesel.

According to a report from TMZ, the pair clashed on the set of the film with the WWE star taking to social media to vent his frustrations.

Vin Diesel is serving as producer on Fast & Furious 8 and has reportedly taken an active role in the development of the film.

It’s this creative input that has led to the clashes, with The Rock seemingly unhappy with the Vin Diesel’s increased influence on production.

This is my final week of shooting #FastAndFurious8. There's no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one. An incredible hard working crew. UNIVERSAL has been great partners as well. My female co-stars are always amazing and I love 'em. My male co-stars however are a different story. Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don't. The ones that don't are too chicken shit to do anything about it anyway. Candy asses. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I'm not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling – you're right. Bottom line is it'll play great for the movie and fits this Hobbs character that's embedded in my DNA extremely well. The producer in me is happy about this part😉. Final week on FAST 8 and I'll finish strong. #IcemanCometh #F8 #ZeroToleranceForCandyAsses

As a result, the pair have reportedly held clear-the-air talks in a bid to resolve their differences and restore harmony among the cast, with less than two weeks of filming to go.

Due for release in April, the latest instalment in the action franchise will see Charlize Theron, Scott Eastwood (son of Clint) and Helen Mirren join the principal cast.

They will be aiming to scale the same kind of box office heights as Furious 7, which raked in over $1.5 billion off a budget of $190 million.

But with two of the film’s main stars reportedly at loggerheads, it’s hardly been the best of starts. At least their fights will have an extra dimension to them now.
