Science has found a way to defeat bad body odour, but you may not like what it involves.
Researchers from the University of California believe that wearing the natural fragrance of a better smelling relative will train your body to produce more sweet smelling bacteria. [via thememo]
The results were reached by experimenting on identical twins. Researchers made one lather up with antibacterial soap for a week and allowed the other to live in filth. Lead scientist Dr. Chris Callewart then mixed up the two bacterias and applied it to the stinky twin.
Voila! The ‘clean’ bacterial microbes colonised the stinky and now both twins are smelling like a rose garden an entire year later.
Also, deodorant can make B.O. worse, stated Callewart. Mostly because he believes that based on his recent findings, those dank microbes that cause nasty smelling bacteria, actually adore being snuffed out by swathes of Right Guard.
So in a way, it only makes them stronger and your armpits smellier.
The procedure is still in the experimental phases so disgusting sweat-based deodorant won’t be available in the chemist just yet. But feel free to try it out this method on your sibling or a game relative.
