Goonies never say die… until now.

The Goonies has received a terrifying makeover just in time for Halloween.

Courtesy of CineFix, the 80s classic has been overhauled to resemble a nightmarish horror movie, in which a group of adventurous kids are hunted down by gangsters and the monstrous Sloth.

There’s no time for Truffle Shuffling here, particularly when Joe Pantoliano’s Francis Fratelli tells one of the beleaguered kids to “spill your guts and tell everything”.

Frankly, Sean Astin, Josh Brolin, Jeff Cohen, Corey Feldman, Jonathan Ke Quan and the rest don’t know what’s hit them.

The Goonies mantra was famously “never say die” – they’re pushing that to the very limits with this class recut, which has already amassed more than 25,000 views and will no doubt grow over the Halloween weekend.

The chances of The Goonies 2 ever happening are feeling slimmer with every passing year. This might be the best we’ll get but, in fairness, it does a great job of getting the nostalgia juices flowing.
