While Nintendo’s original light grey device is languishing in retirement, the Super Retro Boy is picking up where it left off. It’s pretty much a clone, Gizmodo reports.
Fashioned on the one and only, it has a lighter colour, and the shape resembles that of a Game Boy Colour, but the buttons are all in the same place as the first incarnation, it can also play all the original cartridges from Game Boy, Game Boy Colour and Game Boy Advance.
Other features include a rechargeable battery that can last up to ten hours, scratch and shatter resistant display. The cost ain’t too shabby either – you can get your very own Super Retro Boy for $80 USD.
Retro-Bit to specialise in nostalgia gaming, hence the name. The company also sell consoles that play old Sega Genesis games like Sonic the Hedgehog 2, Mega Man, Quack Shot and the classic, Streets of Rage.
This upgraded version won’t be available to purchase until August of this year, we at loaded think it’s worth the wait to relive a little slice of childhood joy.
