“Help me Obi Wan Kenobi, you’re my only hope.”

Any Star Wars fan worth their salt knows the line, spoken by a holographic depiction of Princess Leia in A New Hope.

Now imagine the same wholesome, heartfelt message being delivered by a gyrating Leia in her iconic gold bikini outfit, because that’s basically about to become a reality.

It’s all thanks to the latest advancements in Holo-Cam technology, courtesy of porn tech firm CamSoda, who have created the first system capable of projecting live cam models into your living room.

Using projectors, the system will convey 3D holographic images from your laptop, tablet or even phone on to a four-foot pyramid display.

Perhaps the most astonishing bit of news concerning the new Holo-Cam technology is that the displays could be available for as little as £1.50 – that’s a whole lot less than what you would pay in any normal adult establishment.

“We’re thrilled to announce the launch of Holo-Cam, which allows users to interact with cam girls in an immersive experience like never before,” Daron Lundeen, president of CamSoda, explained in a blog post.

“Now users can interact with cam models right in their very own environment by beaming a live cam girl through their own phone/tablet.”

There will of course be some additional charges along the way with weekly interactive shows, where users can text in specific requests will be available.

But plans afoot for an initial free month long trial, some will certainly be tempted to try the service out – or use the force, if you will.
