If you haven’t already seen it then we’d advise making some time to watch the new Star Wars: The Old Republic trailer – it looks better than some of the Star Wars movies.
The video is 6 minutes long and although the story isn’t necessarily a representation of how the gameplay will be laid out when people purchase the expansion pack, but the short film’s cinematic prowess is still very impressive to behold.
It’s essentially a set-up for Knights of the Eternal Throne and highlights a young padawan called Vaylin and her training of the Force.
You can check out the trailer here:
The clip details Vaylin’s mother attempting to stop her being corrupted by staying with her father, which she eventually does. This choice sends Vaylin down a dark path and she tries to take her father’s vacant throne.
The theme of the trailer seems to be mostly surrounding how the Force can corrupt even the most honourable intentioned people. Whatever you take away from the trailer, it can’t be denied that it just looks so undeniably cool.
It’s already been viewed over 2 million times. Let’s hope future instalments in the Star Wars movie world can emulate this kind of brilliance.
