Video: Star Wars Episode VIII’s opening scene leaks online

Feel The Force of the dramatic opening from the upcoming blockbuster sequel.

Star Wars Episode VIII isn’t even out in cinemas until December 2017, but the hype is already intensifying.

The film still shooting in the UK, but one crew member appears to have been seduced by the Dark Side and has posted the blockbuster’s entire opening scene online.

Hit play on the video above to watch it in full, and pick up the story right from where it left off at the close of The Force Awakens.

Daisy Ridley’s Rey is now no stranger to the Force having discovered Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber and returned it to him on a distant planet.

Adam Driver’s Kylo Ren might’ve been too blind to see the light under Skywalker’s tutelage, but the strong-willed Rey won’t be experiencing similar issues. You simply wouldn’t get this kind of expert Jedi training from any other guy (expect maybe Yoda).

Star Wars Episode VIII, directed by Rian Johnson (JJ Abrams is now in a producer role), will bring back Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Ridley, Driver, John Boyega and Oscar Isaac with new cast additions in the form of Benicio Del Toro, Laura Dern and Kelly Marie Tran.

Before that, you’ll be able to see more Star Wars in the form of spinoff Rogue One and get your hands on video game Lego Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
