Sophie Turner has potentially revealed a major spoiler about the future of her character Sansa Stark in Game of Thrones.
The actress used Cersei as an example as to where she sees Sansa ending up in the final two seasons of the show.
“They’re both so family-obsessed and family-orientated and will do anything for the people they love. I can totally see her becoming a Cersei and kind of driven mad by it, by the threats against her family.
At the end of the day, that’s why she does the things that she does, because she’s terrified of losing the people she loves,” she told Yahoo Lifestyle Singapore.
She also stated that she could definitely see Sansa turning on her brother Jon Snow, something we’re not surprised to hear after witnessing her in cahoots with the slimy Littlefinger during the last episode of season 6.
“I think she’s frustrated – she’s worked so hard, tirelessly to convince him that this is what the right battle plan was and he wouldn’t listen to her. She ended up having to save him and yet he gets hailed as King of the North, and he doesn’t say a thing about Sansa saving him,” she explained.
Sansa’s entrance during the Battle of the Bastards will arguably go down as one of the greatest scenes in TV history. Therefore we can understand the sour taste left in her mouth after Jon failed to acknowledge her bravery.
We’ll soon know the fate of the Starks as the premiere of Game of Thrones season 7 is fast approaching. Are you team Sansa or team Jon?
