Next time your partner says they are too tired to enjoy a bit of rough and tumble, listen to them because it could make the difference between a dull and altogether far more enjoyable sex life.
Or at least that’s the recommendation of a new study which showed that more sleep could be the key to having more fun between the sheets.
It comes after an American study found that those suffering from insomnia were less likely to be satisfied in bed.
By contrast, those women who got in a good 40 winks were actually more likely to have a good time in the bedroom on a regular basis.
The study, conducted by researchers at the North American Menopause Society, canvassed 93,6888 women to come up with the answers.
According to the findings, there was a direct correlation between those who had less than seven to eight hours sleep and a noticeable decree in sexual satisfaction.
It’s unclear as to whether the research covers things like naps, but it’s likely that the occasional bit of late-afternoon or early-evening shut-eye might help things too.
However, it any instance of napping it is always worth remembering the golden rule – never nap for more than 30 minutes otherwise you may end up disrupting your standard sleep patterns altogether.
