Selena Gomez’s reign as the queen of Instagram is going from strength to strength after the pop favourite set a new record for the most liked photo on Instagram.
The 23-year-old boasts a whopping 89.1 million followers on social media, so it’s hardly a massive shock to see her breaking records.
In this instance, the new record was set for an image, uploaded around two weeks ago, of Selena sporting a rather fetching red top complete with matching Coca-Cola bottle.
Sporting a Cindy Crawford-style hairdo and red nails alongside a sultry looking pout, the image may be a blatant bit of product placement for Coke but that doesn’t seem to have put off her fans.
The image has racked up a whopping four million likes, beating the previous most-liked image by roughly 300,000 likes.
The previous record holder? Selena Gomez of course. Well, sort of.
Back then it was a throwback picture of Gomez kissing her high-profile ex, Justin Bieber, with the image technically credited to the What Do You Mean crooner.
Before that, Kendall Jenner was the leader of the pack, after collecting a record number of what the kids call “double taps” for a picture…of her hair.
Yep. Her hair.
Selena has had a busy few months though, having most recently starred in the Netflix original movie The Fundamentals of Caring alongside Paul Rudd, which has earned largely positive reviews.
It’s good to be Gomez right now.
