Scarlett Johansson hilariously brought her doppelgänger, a 72-year-old grandmother named Geraldine to the premiere of her new movie.
It all began when a picture went viral on Reddit a few months ago showing someone’s grandmother in her youth who looked startlingly like Scarlett Johansson. Well, Scarlett saw it.
After seeing the photo, Scarlett sent a video to the redditor Denver and his grandmother Geraldine with a message.
She invited Geraldine to her upcoming movie premiere for Rough Night and offered to cover all the expenses but with one caveat. They had to drink.
“I saw that you were, quote, ‘drunk as a skunk’ when you were taking that photo. And I would like to see your drunk face; I want to share a drunk face with you,” she said in the clip, adding, “I’ll see you at the bar. Be there, or be square.”
Geraldine accepted telling TIME magazine, “I’m not going to be square. I’m going to drink with her [and] see if I can drink her under the table. She has got to remember to take it easy on me. I’m 40 years older than her.”
Scarlett is a woman of her word and pictures have arisen of the two women at the flashy premiere looking like the present and future in one place. The likeness is significant, see for yourself.
Johansson even arranged for matching custom clutches, which read, “Hello, my name is Scarlett,” and “Hello, my name is Geraldine.” They switched names for a laugh.
All we want to know is, did Geraldine manage to out booze Johansson?
