What would be your dream job, if you really had to pick one?

Millions of people would probably say being a footballer, astronaut or pop star is their dream, but ask any gamer and there’s a good chance ‘Professional Grand Theft Auto Player’ would be up there too.

Sadly though, such a job has never existed. Until now that is…

Rockstar has announced that they are hiring people to play the game on a full-time basis, and actually get paid for it.

Rockstar, who also make Red Dead Redemption, are hiring two new games testers to work in their Edinburgh and Lincoln offices, and it sounds absolutely incredible.

GTA is one of the most popular gaming franchises in the world, so the company can expect thousands of applications for the roles before long.

The job description reads: “Rockstar North/Lincoln is looking for passionate, enthusiastic and self-motivated individuals to join our QA team,” the job adverts say.

“You will be expected to test our games looking for problems and accurately report errors through our databases to ensure superior game quality before release.

So what skills do you need to get the job? Well, the company says “successful applicants will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and be able to observe attention to detail.”

Interestingly, you don’t need to a total gaming whiz to apply either. “You will have good general computer skills and be a confident learner working with word processing, databases and spreadsheets,” the description reads.

We’re also guessing you have to be unbelievable at stealing cars, blowing sh*t up and generally being a badass at the game too.

So, if you fancy getting paid to play one of the best games ever made, get applying now.
