The Mannequin Challenge has proven one of the biggest viral trends of 2016, and some of the biggest stars in Hollywood have taken part.
Robert De Niro, Tom Hanks and Bruce Springsteen have now starred in their own special version of the challenge, and they’ve pretty much blown all the others out the water.
The clip, which was filmed at the Whitehouse and features some serious star power, also includes Michael Jordan, Ellen DeGeneres, Bill Gates and Diana Ross.
Look what we got everyone to do! I'm in the pink dress laughing with Rita! It’s the #MannequinChallenge, Presidential Medal of Freedom Edition at the @WhiteHouse!! Starring #RobertDeNiro, @RitaWilson, @TheEllenShow, @KareemAbdulJabbar_33, @TomHanks, #BillGates, #MichaelJordan, @FrankGehry, my mama #DianaRoss, and more!
Springsteen, Hanks, Gates and DeGeneres all get into the spirit of things and pose for the video, but De Niro looks thoroughly unimpressed with the whole thing, and very visibly moves at the start of the video.
The video took place after DeGeneres, De Niro and Springsteen all received the Presidential Medal of Freedom from Barack Obama – the highest civilian award in the United States.
Diana Ross’s daughter Tracee Ellis uploaded the video to her Instagram page, adding the caption: “Look what we got everyone to do! I’m in the pink dress laughing with Rita! It’s the #MannequinChallenge.”
The Mannequin Challenge has pretty much taken over the internet this year. Beyoncé did it, Paul McCartney did it, the BBC Radio 1 crew did it, even Hillary Clinton had a go just prior to the US election.
The Victoria’s Secret models also took part in the challenge, and totally nailed it.
