Teenager Spends £1,000 A Month In Bid To Look Like Real-Life Barbie

Gabriela Jirackova's obsession began when she was just 16.

A human barbie doll.

A Czech teenager who spends $1,000 a month on cosmetic procedures in a bid to look like a real-life Barbie doll is hoping to crack America with her distinctive look.

18-year-old Gabriela Jirackova describes herself as a singer, business woman and media personality on Instagram, where she has already amassed 20,800 followers.

Bigger and better things are apparently on the horizon for Jirackova though, whose Barbie obsession started when she was just 16 with blonde hair extensions, extra-large eyelashes, lip fillers and permanent make-up.

The Prague-based younger already owns 300 Barbie dolls while her parents have been bankrolling her surgical procedures, including a boob job last. There’s even more to come, with Jirackova keen to get butt implants, have some ribs removed and even undergo another breast enlargement procedure

Speaking to Barcroft TV [via The Metro] her mother, Romana, expressed exasperation and some resignation at the situation. “I am worried about her health no doubt about that,” the 53-year-old said. “But how far she will go with it is her choice and I respect it.”

Inspired by figures like the late Lolo Ferrari, Gabriela takes around three and a half hours to get ready every day.

“This lifestyle isn’t easy at all. Maintaining my image is difficult in all its aspects, financially, physically and mentally too,” she told Barcroft TV.

“There is a great pressure on me from the media, my fans, the haters, from everybody.'”

Despite her desire for more surgeries, the 18-year-old is keen to stress that she isn’t unhappy with herself and has no issues with self-esteem – she just really wants to look like a human Barbie doll.

“I believe I’m a much better example than the majority of other celebrities, who do drugs, change their partners, or even get involved in scandals,” she added.

The teenager has set herself the goal of moving to LA and becoming famous for her Barbie image. There’s a long way to go until then, however, with Jirackova insistent that more cosmetic surgery is required – even if means spending thousands and undergoing procedure after procedure to get there.

“When one chooses to do this, it takes several years maybe even their whole life. One can’t say I want to change it after a week, so I want to stick with my chosen path.”

Gabriela’s story echoes that of an Israeli woman whose appreciation for Angelina Jolie has seen her shell out thousands on plastic surgery to look like her film heroine.

It’s not exactly gone to plan though. Here’s hoping Jirackova avoids a similar fate.
