Priyanka Chopra Wants To Be The First Ever Indian Bond Girl

The actress told loaded she'd even take over from Daniel Craig to play Bond in the spy franchise.

Priyanka Chopra has revealed that she’d love to become the first Indian woman to star as a Bond girl in the 007 film series.

The Bollywood actress, who is currently starring alongside Dwayne Johnson and Zac Efron in Baywatch, told loaded that she’d love to appear in the franchise, and would even consider playing the title role of Bond.

Priyanka plays the villainous Victoria Leeds in Baywatch, her first Hollywood movie, and the actress revealed she’d consider branching out and playing a villain in a Bond movie too.

“I’m an actor, if a part interests me and it’s something that just makes me want to change myself and do something I would,” the 34-year-old told loaded.

She added: “I’d play Bond, I’d play Bond villain, I’d play Bond girl… I’m a fan of the franchise.”

If Chopra were to land a part in any upcoming Bond movies, she’d be the first Indian actress to play a Bond girl.

Bond isn’t the only franchise Priyanka has her eyes on either. When asked about potentially starring in other major series, she said: “I’ve played so many characters over time and the one thing that America is known for is its superheroes.

“So if I had to play a ‘typical American film’ I’d want to be a superhero. I want to have a superpower, like I want to move things with my mind, or fly or something like – they don’t do that in Indian movies enough.”

Priyanka has all the talent and star appeal to take Hollywood by storm – who knows what movie franchise she’ll appear in next?
