In a plot that sounds like something ripped straight from Hollywood, a former Playboy Playmate has been jailed for her part in a ‘honey trap’ murder attempt.
Slobodanka Tosic, a model and 2005’s Miss Bosnia, has seen her two-and-a-half year jail sentence upheld after playing a key role in the attempted murder of Bosnian mob boss Djordje Zdrale.
The incident, which happened in 2006, saw Tosic set up a date with Zdrale only to betray him to his underworld rival Darko Elez.
Zdrale was wounded in the assassination attempt but managed to escape. Later, however, he was given a 20-year prison sentence for an unrelated murder.
Zdrale was pulled out of his cell to testify against Tosic who was charged as an accomplice in the plot.
According to The Telegraph, 30-year-old Tosic was proven to be part of Elez’s expansive crime syndicate that was dismantled in 2012. Prosecutors described it as one of the largest groups for organised crime on Bosnia before it was taken apart.
Tosic was originally arrested in 2015’s ‘Operation Doll’ sting and has been linked to multiple robberies and as many as five homicides.
Her lawyer Vlado Adamovic revealed that she is planning to appeal to Bosnia’s constitutional court “for procedural reasons”.
After winning Miss Bosnia at just 19, Tosic went on to cover the Balkan country’s Playboy in 2008 and starred in the country’s version of island-based reality TV series Survivor.
