Footage pertaining to feature indisputable evidence of the existence of extra-terrestrial life is ten-a-penny on the internet these days, but this latest clip carries a little more weight that most.
For one thing, it’s allegedly been released by the Pentagon and, for another, it was originally spotted by two highly-respected US Navy airmen.
Back in 2004, Commander David Fravor and Lieutenant Commander Jim Slaight were taking part in a training mission some 100 miles off the coast of San Diego.
Fravor and Slaight were flying in separate F/A-18F Super Hornets when they spotted something that “accelerated like nothing” they had seen before.
They weren’t the only ones to see the usual object either, with the nearby carrier the USS Princeton also picking up the mysterious aircraft which began tracking the object just in case it posed a threat of some kind.
According to the New York Times, Fravor spotted the object at around 80,000 feet. It then quickly sped towards the sea, before stopping at around 20,000 feet. The object would then hover before disappearing off the radar and into the unknown.
The airmen even offered up a vivid description of the object which was white in colour, 40 feet long and oval shaped object. In another unusual twist, Fravor claims something below the object was breaking the waters of the sea, despite the fact it was a visibly calm day.
By the time he had flown toward it, however, the object was gone. “It accelerated like nothing I’ve seen before.”
It gets weirder still though: after the object disappeared, the pilots were orders to fly to a “cap point” some 60 miles away. A second later, however, the message came over the radio that the object had beaten them to the meeting point.
They were then told to go to what was known as a ‘cap point’ around 60 miles away – however they were told by the radio operator that the object had beaten them to it.
“We were at least 40 miles away, and in less than a minute this thing was already at our cap point,” told the New York Times. By the time they arrived though, the object was gone again.
“I have no idea what I saw,” Fravor admits. “It had no plumes, wings or rotors and outran our F-18s. I want to fly one.”
Is this proof of alien existence or simply some sort of test flight for an advanced type of flying object that could yet be deployed by the US military on the battlefield? Watch the footage and decide for yourself.
