North Korean state media has heaped praise on US presidential hopeful and presumptive Republican nominee Donald Trump. Yes, really.
The publication, DPRK Today, have backed him to become US president and have also taken the time to praise the proposal by Trump to hold direct talks with Kim Jong-un.
Mr Han Yong Mook, a Chinese-North Korean scholar, wrote the editorial for the publication with some hair-raising praise for Trump.
As reported in The Guardian: “There are many positive aspects to Trump’s ‘inflammatory policies’, Trump said he will not get involved in the war between the South and the North, isn’t this fortunate from North Korea’ perspective?”
The editorial went a little further and appealed to American voters not to back ‘dull Hillary’.
Yong Mook added: “The president that US citizens must vote for is not that dull Hillary – who claimed to adopt the Iranian model to resolve nuclear issues on the Korean Peninsula – but Trump, who spoke of holding direct conversation with North Korea.”
