Stranger Things won’t be back until 2017, but Netflix has released a fun new clip to get us all in the mood for season two.
The streaming giant has revealed a brilliant new spoof news report, which focuses on the disappearance of fan-favourite Barb.
Barbara ‘Barb’ Holland, loyal best friend to Natalia Dyer’s Nancy Wheeler, was last seen being dragged into the Upside Down alternate dimension.
Fans were pretty traumatised by the whole thing, especially as no-one in the town seemed to care much about it.
However, her disappearance in the focus of the new clip, which Netflix uploaded to their YouTube channel last night (October 31).
Set up as “an archival newsreel from 5 WIYZ Hawkins, Indiana”, the video features a report about Barb from a news show called Minute by Minute with Brenda Wood.
The clip also focuses on Eleven’s episode in Bradley’s Big Buy, where she stole a whole bunch of waffles.
Presenter Brenda warns of a “vagrant juvenile who escaped with an unprecedented number of Eggo waffles”.
She adds: “Whatever you do, remember – avoid Mirkwood this Halloween.”
Stranger Things became the surprise TV hit of the summer in 2016, and it was previously reported that the series is bigger than both of Netflix’s Marvel properties Daredevil and Jessica Jones.
