This Customisable Nerf Gun Will Make You Wish You Were A Kid Again

Everyone who was anyone had a Nerf gun growing up in the 1990s.

It was the perfect toy – a toy gun capable of shooting largely harmless bits of plastic and foam with impressive accuracy. They were basically Super Soakers minus the water and wetness.

Much like Lego before it, Nerf guns have continued to evolve in some pretty fresh and exciting ways. Ways that have a lot of grown adults pining to be kids again.

Thankfully, here at loaded, we’re very much in touch with our inner child, meaning we are more than happy to explore and enjoy the delights of Nerf guns – and their latest model is bloody fantastic.

The Nerf N-Strike Modulus Mediator core blaster is a pump-action, clip-fed blaster that comes with a six-dart clip and pump handle primer to trigger the firing of the darts.

The Mediator Blaster has been designed so user can unleash rapid fire hell on their targets via a slam-fire action – keep pumping the handle primer to line up all six darts for fire. It sort of looks like an Uzi too – but that’s only the start.

Nerf lovers can also combine the mediator with both a stock and barrel add on to create the Mediator XL. These enhancements are sold separately but are capable of beefing this bad boy up no end.

The Mediator blaster has attachments points for the Mediator Barrel and Mediator Stock, so battlers can build the Mediator XL blaster capable of firing off even more darts at an accelerated rate.

Best of all, side and top tactical rails provide places to add Nerf Modulus accessories for up to 1,000 different customization options.

It all adds up to the kind of Nerf gun that wouldn’t have looked out of place in that recent remake of John Wick one fan put together online, featuring only Nerf guns.

Is it silly and a little bit juvenile? Maybe. But will you be the king of the office or any and all social gatherings in your home once you bring the Mediator XL out to play? Of course.

Priced at around £20.99 for the standard blaster and £15.99 for the upgrade kit, there’s never been a better time to mediate.
