The right tune can significantly aid your sex life, according to a new scientific survey.

According to what looked like the most fun study ever, if you play music at home the odds of getting laid are definitely in your favour.

The exercise was conducted by neuroscientist Daniel J. Leviti who surveyed 30,000 people. He found that more than sixty percent of the volunteers claim they got more nookie when music was playing in their homes [via men’s journal].

To be fair, we can already think of a few Prince songs that are guaranteed to inspire sexy times.

Another study claims pop music can greatly influence attraction to another person, especially songs rife with suggestive lyrics. So, we highly suggest using pretty much any Marvin Gaye song with extreme caution.

“This study takes an important step forward in showing how listening to music out loud can enhance relationships at home,” said Leviti in a press release.

In fact the areas of our brain that light up while we’re having sex do the same when our favourite song comes on. It’s the pleasure principle at work.

So the gateway to a night of passion is playing sexy pop songs at home. Our pick would probably be Baby Got Back…
