In case you missed it, NASA recently revealed that they’d discovered six new Earth-sized planets in a distant solar system which could potentially support alien life.
It’s really cool news, right? Interestingly, just a few days after the story broke, it’s also been revealed that more people are seeing UFOs than ever before.
Coincidence? We think not.
If you’re a regular loaded reader, you’ll know that we’ve covered plenty of convincing alien ‘sightings’ over recent weeks – not least the footage of police transporting a UFO through Area 51 – and it turns out they’re more common than ever before.
According to statistician Sam Monfort has analysed date from the National UFO Reporting Centre, and found that a higher number of people than ever are claiming to have seen alien life forms [via AOL].
An incredible 45,000 people purported to have seen UFOs in 2010, and the number has been rising ever since the 1980s.
The biggest increase happened between 1990 and 2000, when the number of sightings rose by around 30,000 a year.
It’s also no surprise to see that the US is the most popular place to see UFOs, with sightings in the country almost 300 times more frequent than the global average.
Now, it may be that more people are reporting sightings than ever before thanks to camera phones and social media, but it’s undeniable that UFO sightings are more widespread than ever before.
So, make sure you keep your eyes peeled next time you leave the house – the truth is out there.
