It turns out even The McConaissance has its limits.

Matthew McConaughey’s career revival, driven by performances in brilliant movies like Interstellar, Killer Joe and Dallas Buyers Club, hasn’t extended to the digital realm.

The Oscar-winning actor has his very own verified YouTube channel but he’s finding it hard to turn his Hollywood mega-star status into cold, hard video views.

In the 12 months since McConaughey’s had his channel up and running he’s posted six videos that have amassed around 26,000 views between them. One of them, a trailer for his animated film Kubo and the Two String, has only stumbled past 400 views.

When you realise that Celebrities Read Mean Tweets, which features McConaughey, has been watched 57 million times and his spoof reaction to the Star Wars: The Force Awakens teaser trailer has 10 million you quickly realise something isn’t quite right.

This may all be about to change soon, though. Because Reddit user S1icedBread has unearthed the McConaughey channel and is sending it firing up the trending charts.

We here at loaded would like to make a contribution, however small, to getting aiding the Digital McConaissance. After all, the majority of his videos are for a great cause – providing clean drinking water to the homeless. And he opens his selfie vids with the greeting “Hey everybody, McConaughey here!”.

Here are all the Matthew McConaughey YouTube videos to date…
