We’re going to be seeing a lot more of Margot Robbie very soon, after the Harley Quinn star signed up for a spin-off movie with DC.
The Suicide Squad stunner will produce and star in the solo film as part of a new first-look deal with the studio, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The deal means we could potentially be seeing Harley Quinn in loads of upcoming DC movies, which can only be a good thing.
The upcoming Harley spin-off with also see the introduction of more female characters.
DC favourites Batgirl and Birds of Prey, who’s usually backed by the Black Canary and Huntress, are also set to appear.
Margot produced her first movie Terminal recently, and the new deal will mean she’ll develop films with DC through her LuckyChap Entertainment setup.
The deal show the studio’s commitment to female-led projects, the next of which will see Gal Gadot star in her solo Wonder Woman movie in 2017.
