Brad Pitt probably feels like the world is against him following Angelina Jolie’s decision to file for divorce and the flurry of rumours concerning the 52-year-old that have followed since.

But if Pitt is looking for a friend right now then he might find it in convicted murderer Steven Avery, the star of Netflix true crime series Making a Murderer.

While plenty have shied away from the whole Brangelina debate, Avery appears oblivious to it and is instead focusing on the very thing that made Pitt famous in the first place: movies.

Currently facing life imprisonment for the murder of Teresa Halbach – a crime both he and the makers of the Netflix series insist he is innocent of – Avery is now looking to get the story of his life turned into a movie.

It would certainly make for interesting viewing when you consider that Avery previously spent 18 years behind bars for a separate crime only for DNA evidence to subsequently exonerate him of any wrong doing.

And if the Steven Avery movie does go ahead, the man himself has a pretty clear idea of who he wants playing him: Pitt.

As reported by Us Magazine, the 54-year-old earmarked the troubled actor for the role during a two-part interview with Dr Phil McGraw which is due to air on CBS in the US.

In the meantime, Pitt is preparing for a Netflix battle of sorts against his estranged wife, with both actors set to release new films on the platform in 2017.
