Lovehoney have just come up with the funniest sex toy advert

It can’t be easy coming up with a TV advert for sex toys.

Broadcasting restrictions mean you can’t actually show the goods on screen – even after the 9pm watershed.

However, online sex toy retailer Lovehoney.co.uk has come up with an ingenious way to promote themselves with a cheeky commercial featuring furry rabbits going at it, a tape measure sizing up a cucumber and a couple crashing down on a bed with post-coital satisfaction.

“Everyone who has seen it ends up with a big smile on their face.”

The advert, which you can watch in full below, has been cleared to run post-watershed on TV tonight (July 21). Using good old-fashioned British innuendo, it delivers its message in hilarious fashion and will no doubt see viewers flocking to Lovehoney to hoover up the toys on sale.

Lovehoney marketing director Helen Balmer said of the promo: “We’ve had fantastic feedback through research on the ad from people who say it is exciting, humorous and playful.

“Everyone who has seen it ends up with a big smile on their face.”

Incredibly, Lovehoney’s sex toys also come with a Royal endorsement. The Bath-based company’s co-owners Richard Longhurst and Neal Slateford met the Queen, Prince Philip and other senior royals at Buckingham Palace last week for an official reception held for Queen’s Award winners.

This Royal prize now lets Lovehoney use the official Queen’s Award emblem on its packaging.

If it’s good enough for Liz II, it’s good enough for the rest of us!
