Lily Allen has gone head to head with EDL founder Tommy Robinson in a brutal Twitter spat.

The Smile singer threatened Robinson, who is now the head of anti-Islam group Pegida UK, with legal action after a fiery debate on the social media site.

The row first began on New Year’s Day, when Allen questioned a MailOnline headline which described the gunman who killed 39 people in an Istanbul nightclub as a “migrant”.

Allen wrote: “Don’t know his name or nationality but call him a migrant in the headline.”

Robinson hit back, calling her a “f***ing idiot”, and saying she was “virtue signalling about racism rather than actually giving a fuck about the dead people.”

Following a series of exchanges, Robinson asked Allen: “Have you ever met or spoke (sic) to a victim of the Muslim grooming gangs, you don’t need to go to Calais to hear horror stories.”

Allen responded by saying: “I’ve only ever been sexually assaulted by white males so I feel slightly biased.

“People need to realise the reality of how white males and their attitudes towards our laws continue to threaten our values and communities,” she added.

Allen then told Robinson she intended to take legal action against him after he accused her of lying about suffering sexual assault.

She told him to “get fundraising”, adding: “You will be hearing from my legal team in the coming days. You’ll have no choice but to defend yourself.”

Robinson then attempted to laugh off the comments, but Lily had the last word after accusing him of saying she lied about suffering sexual assault.

See you in court Tommy…
