It’s fair to say Kim Kardashian has had a rough time of it lately.
What was meant to be a luxurious jaunt to Paris turned traumatic on Monday when the reality star and business mogul was robbed at gunpoint by five masked men in a raid on her French getaway apartment.
A 20-carat Lorraine Schwartz ring and a jewellery box of gems were taken, with their combined value thought to be more than $10 million (£8 million).
It was Kardashian’s social media posts that allegedly tipped off the robbers, making her a target after she flashed her ring on Instagram and Snapchat. Being bound, gagged and threatened is not going to be a fun experience for anyone, and the TV star is eager for it never to happen again.
In a new report from TMZ, Kim has reportedly vowed to reel in her online posts for fear of further attacks. What’s the point of all that cash of you don’t feel safe?
“Material things mean nothing. It’s not all about the money. It’s not worth it,” she reported to have told close friends.
Further details have also emerged regarding how the criminals got into Kim’s home.
The Daily Mail reports that the five-man gang forced their way into the building by yelling “it’s urgent – we must see Miss Kardashian”.
The crooks allegedly claimed that were police and pointed a gun at the concierge demanding he gave them the key’s to Kim’s pad.
All sounds like something out of a nasty home invasion thriller – and something you definitely wouldn’t wish on anyone.
