The Fort Knox of fried chicken has finally been busted wide open – the secret KFC recipe has allegedly been uncovered.

After decades of secrecy, the nephew of KFC founder Colonel Harland Sanders has seemingly given the game away in an interview piece for the Chicago Tribune.

The Colonel’s 67-year-old nephew Joe Ledington was featured in the write-up about the Harland Sanders Café and Museum in Corbin, Kentucky.

Ledington very casually showed off the last will and testament of his aunt Claudia, the second wife of Harland Sanders. Written on the back was the recipe for the fried chicken spice blend that’s become like crack to KFC customers for decades.

“That is the original 11 herbs and spices that were supposed to be so secretive,” Ledington said.

The Tribune even cooked up their own version of the KFC recipe and declared it to be the finger lickin’ good “real deal”. They even hey added in MSG, which KFC recently confirmed is a current ingredient in its chicken.
