KFC Creates Chicken/Pizza Hybrid That’s A Food Travesty

Why mess with a classic?

KFC, what have you done?!

The fast food giant’s latest concoction is a combination of two highly-popular foods: fried chicken and pizza. Now, both are pretty solid when flying solo but to combine them into one is just demented.

Forget about dough, the ‘Chizza’ uses chicken as the base and piles on toppings like pepperoni, pineapple, mozzarella cheese and green peppers.

This crime against food isn’t actually a new menu item at KFC. According to Fortune, it launched in the Philippines last July and has since rolled out India, Thailand, Korea and Taiwan.

It’s back in the news now, though, thanks to its hotly-anticipated release in Japan on November 1.

As you can see from the photo above, it doesn’t look that appetising.

The greasy mother lode looks a lot like a heart attack waiting to happen.

As of yet there’s no word on if the Chizza will ever see the light of day in the UK or US. But do we really need this insult to pizzas in our lives?
