Keanu Reeves has been busy promoting the smash hit sequel to the successful neo-noir, blood pumper, John Wick. He’s known for his action-star status after appearing in films like The Matrix series and Speed. While he definitely walks the walk on screen – the actor has a real-life passion for all things fast and furious.
Reeves spoke to The Telegraph recently with his business partner Gard Hollinger about their California-based company Arch Motorcycle. The organisation is a custom chop shop endeavour – founded off the back of a passion shared by the two men: motorcycles.
“In the beginning, I was looking to customise a Harley-Davidson and was introduced to Gard by a friend of his. I really just wanted to get a sissy bar [a backrest for a pillion passenger] and asked if Gard would do it. He said no,” he told the news outlet.
Eventually, Reeves convinced Hollinger to build him a bespoke motorcycle based on the makeup of a Harley Davidson. What resulted was something out of Keanu’s wildest imaginings, “…it handled like I’ve never experienced in a machine like that,” he said.
Now, years later, Arch Motorcycles have sold 20 of their tailored bikes for £61,600 a pop. Each machine is fitted to the rider’s specifications including weight and riding style.
Their products have received glowing reviews in the press. Keanu is heavily involved with the production and design of every machine, test riding each to ensure their excellence.
Check out some Arch models below. Very nice.
Dust in the wind, Dude.
