Joss Whedon has finally returned from a long Twitter absence, and heâs got a very important message for us all.
The filmmaker has set up he website savetheday.vote to get Americans to register in the US election in November. Oh, and heâs reuniting the Avengers to save the world from Donald Trump tooâŚ
Joss unveiled a hilarious video online earlier today (September 21), which sees some of the biggest movie stars in Hollywood speak about the importance of voting.
Avengers stars Robert Downey Jr, Scarlett Johansson and Mark Ruffalo all unite in the clip â and theyâre out to save the world from Trump.
âOn Tuesday November 8, this country will make one of the most important choices in its history,â Downey Jr says.
âYou have a chance. You have an obligation to be a part of that decision.â
The clip continues, cutting between stars such as Julianne Moore, Martin Sheen and James Franco, saying: âYou might think itâs not important, you might think youâre not important, but thatâs not true.
âThe only way we could prove that to you was to have loads of famous people repeat how important it is.â

âDo we really want to give nuclear weapons to a man whose signature move is firing things,â they add.
âWe can save the day.â
They also claim that Mark Ruffalo will do a nude scene in his next film if you register to vote at savetheday.vote. Avengers fans, you know what to doâŚ
